USZ KEEPER LEAGUE RULES

Postby KC PHANTOM on Thu Jul 30, 2009 9:52 pm

DRAFT WILL BE HELD ONLINE AND IN A LIVE DRAFT FORMAT EVERY YEAR SINCE ALL MEMBERS ARE SCATTERED THROUGH OUT THE US.

FIRST YEAR DRAFT ORDER WILL BE SELECTED BY YAHOO FOR FAIRNESS TO ALL. THE FOLLOWING YEARS WILL BE IN REVERSE ORDER OF PLAYOFF FINALS(Not season record).

EVERY TEAM WILL BE ABLE TO CARRY OVER 2 PLAYERS FROM THE PREVIOUS SEASON. BUT....THOSE PLAYERS MUST BE DRAFTED TWO PLACES HIGHER THAN THEY WERE DRAFTED THE SEASON BEFORE. EXAMPLE...

Team "x"(This team didnt finish first by the way)
1. LT
2. Randy Moss
3. Kevin Smith
4. Plaxico Burress
5. Bears Defense
6. Mike Forte
7. Chris Johnson
8. Dewayne Bowe
9. Matt Cassell

Team "x" wants to keep Mike Forte and Matt Cassell as his picks then the next year when they draft they will have to picked 2 spots higher on the draft order than they were picked in this draft. Next seasn Mike Forte will have to be selected as his #4 pick and Matt Cassell will be the #7 pick. These players will be bumped up 2 spots every year until they are ineligilbe to be kept as keepers anymore and have to return to the Free Agency Pool.

Every year the top two picks of each team will return to the Free Agency pools since they are not any spots higher for them to move up and remain on that teams roster. This is a step to keep the teams fresh and solid players moving around from team to team. The only way for you to keep your one or possibly both of your top two picks is to finish close to the bottom for the year so that you can draft first.....nobody wants that to happen though.

All keepers will be taken from your roster from the year before. If there is a block buster trade during the season and involves players with signifigant talent and are wanting to be kept also then the following must happen:

1. Players must play at least 10 games with second team in order to be carried over as a keeper for the following season.

2. Players involved in trade and are wanting to be kept must move up 2 spots in the draft from the position that he was origianally drafted in with his first team. If that spot is filled by the second teams keeper player then they player with the most seniority will drop back one position in the draft order(in other words will only end up moving one spot in the draft the next football season).

No players picked up in the Free agency pool following the draft can be kept as a keeper. All keepers will come from Draft day only.

These are the rules at this time. All rules are subject to change at anytime up to the beginning of the season. That time the rules will be locked in and not changed until the following season.

Thanks Commish
